    Description

Vintage Antique Glass Bottle Wine Black Dark Gre
en 11" Tall , marked with a K on the bottom.  This bottle is very old, came originally from "out in the barn" at my grandmother's family home in Canada.  It is black to all appearances, but is actually a dark green when held to the light.  As well as the K on the bottom are three support spots.  I believe it to be hand blown,  it's sort of heavy and thick, has some bubbles and flaws.   I think the neck band is applied.   Please look carefully at my photos for quality and condition.  Not a collector so can't grade the piece in any professional way.  Questions always welcome. Thank you for looking.  ***No Cork, it broke away.  Probably not an original cork anyway.***  Received an email from a gentleman in Australia who suggested that the K indicates Kilner Glass or Kilner Bros in England made this bottle about 1880.
    Question from

Hi! Is this British East India Company dark green1818 beer bottle with cylindrical shape? Is there any water bubble reaction after water filled inside it? Is there any metal like- needle demagnatic attraction when needle can be touched in it's neck or rice pulling magmatic power? If it is genuine I am ready to buy. You can sent a video to my email of these if possible.

I do not know. I am not a bottle or antique glass collector, and have no knowledge of the testing you suggest. I know that it was in the barn in Canada as trash, and my mother rescued it with others in the mid 1960's. That homestead was there before my grandmother was born. (she was born about 1880) Please look at my photos for ideas. There is a definite K and three circle marks on the bottom. Thank you for your interest.
